Omatek adopts franchise product distribution strategy

Omatek Nigeria has launched its chains of franchisee retail outlets in the South West/South South Region to improve its brand visibility and bring its products and services closer to end users in remote and major urban centres.

This was made known recently in Lagos by Omatek’s Group Managing Director, Florence Seriki at the Omatek Resellers’ Forum in Lagos.
According to Seriki, the adoption of a channel market strategy would further boost the company’s market share and ensure that everyone has equal and unhindered access to procuring Omatek products.

Seriki said that the new arrangement would make Omatek products range more readily available. Those products include: desktop computers, laptops, car adaptors (chargers), Omatek Security smart phones, power inverters, UPS as well as home entertainment products such as home theatres, LCD screens and speaker sets. “Such as can now be accessed at Franchisee show rooms in Uyo, Poer Harcourt, Oshogbo, Asaba, Abeokuta, Calabar, Lagos and some parts of the West Coast like cotonou,” she said

Apart from making Omatek range of products available at these branded Omatek franchisee showrooms, the plan is for the outlets to also serve as collation centres for the Omatek consumer scheme tagged Omatek e-xpress initiative.
Omatek Group Head, Channel Marketing, Mr. Valentine Otiono said the initiative was driven by the need to meet the aspiration of consumers for the brand, thereby consolidating its position as Nigeria’s number one brand in ICT products and the first computer company to be listed on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
