Etisalat Revamps Easylife Proposition

Etisalat Nigeria has revamped its easy life tariff based service with the introduction of ‘return of access fee’ and ‘easy life postpaid’.

The revamped Easy life package was unveiled recently at a press conference held at the Oriental Hotel Lagos.

The services offers subscribers’ cost effective and affordable call rates as well as free text messages to other Etisalat lines on both prepaid and postpaid lines.

Easylife postpaid is making its debut into the market with a special handset offer that gives subscribers a 30% rebate when they purchase a range of handsets including Blackberry Bold 5, Blackberry Curve 4, Samsung Galaxy Note, and Samsung Gio. The 30% discount would however be converted to airtime and will be given to subscribers over three months. In addition, the customer also gets to choose a special number for FREE!

Easylife prepaid on the other hand has been enhanced with the introduction of ‘return of access fee’. Return of access fee simply means that the N25 daily access charge removed from the lines of Etisalat’s easylife prepaid customers on the days they did not use the service will be returned to them so they do not pay for service they don’t enjoy.

The Chief Executive Officer, Etisalat Nigeria, Steven Evans said ‘We are revamping the easylife offering with more benefits for the prepaid customers and at the same time introducing easylife postpaid proposition. The introduction of these new features is to ensure that prepaid customers get best value for every kobo spent on our network and our postpaid subscribers also benefit from this unique offering.’

Also speaking at the press conference, Chief Commercial Officer, Etisalat Nigeria, Wael Ammar explained that the Easylife postpaid package is tailor-made to suit customers who desire a stress-free way of recharging while providing best value for money with the affordable call rates.

He said, “Easylife Postpaid is a version of the Easylife tariff plan initially launched to the prepaid customers in September 2010. Due to the demand and acceptance of this tariff by high value customers, the plan has now been extended to cater for our postpaid subscribers. At 20k/sec, customers on this package can make calls to all networks in Nigeria, USA, UK Landlines, China, India and Canada and still enjoy a special discounted offer of calling two special numbers at 15k/sec. This is in addition of 600 free text messages to any Etisalat number monthly”.

He further highlighted other features of the new tariff including a monthly access fee of N750 that allows subscribers enjoy an array of value-added services including – roaming in 180 countries, opportunity to choose own preferred number, VIP caller service which enables subscribers restrict specific numbers from reaching their mobile lines, Blacklist service which allows a subscriber to accept all incoming calls except those defined as blacklisted and white list which allows a subscriber to block all incoming calls except those defined on the white list.

Ammar continued, “We realize that the needs of our customers are ever changing and as such we come up with unique packages to match these needs. Easylife Postpaid is yet another proposition from Etisalat developed to delight our customers by providing them with unique offerings that will further affirm Etisalat’s innovative leadership in the telecommunication sector”.

Easylife Postpaid package is open to both new and existing customers on the network and is one of Etisalat’s ways of reaching out to its customers and developing innovative pocket-friendly solutions, tailored to suit their lifestyle.
