The Deputy General Manager, Tecno Telecom Limited, Chidi Okonkwo, has stated that Tecno is the number one in Nigeria dual SIM market.

According to him, " Nigeria is our strongest market which covers high and low end phones which are affordable. In Nigeria, we are the number one in terms of dual SIM phones".

This was made known at a media brief held today at the Chinese restaurant located at Isaac John, GRA, Ikeja, as the company reopens its service center at 19, Olowu Street, closed by the Nigerian Communications Commission recently. 

Okonkwo said that the company didn’t have the right information to carry out the type approval which led to the closure of their office, while adding that they have started the type approval and we will continue to comply with the regulatory body.

According to him “We are aware of the need to continually ensure compliance with the tenets and laws governing the establishment and operation of business in Nigeria. It is in the light of this that we assure our customers of our commitment to ensuring full compliance with the requirements of all governing/regulatory bodies including the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC)”.

He commiserated with their business partners, distributors, and other customers for their understanding and support within the period and pledge their continued commitment to provide top quality mobile communication products to the Nigeria market.

Okonkwo noted that the company would continue to provide top quality phones and accessories at affordable price and carry on their business within the confines of the law, adding that they would continue to meet market expectation and demand through well tailored research and market intelligence/customer feed back.

He pointed out that they have 8 service centers in Nigeria where customers can have there phone maintained and serviced, while having collection centers in the states where services centers are not located.
