Google Introduces New Disavow Tool

In order to protect users’ from bad inbound link, Google has introduced “disavow” tool that enables webmaster disallow bad links to their sites.

The tool was designed to help control manual spam action based on “unnatural links” pointing to sites.

Links are used to order search results between pages to know which pages are reputable and important, and thus more likely to be relevant to users.

According to Google, “Links are the basis of PageRank, which is one of more than 200 signals we rely on to determine rankings. Since PageRank is so well-known, it’s also a target for spammers, and we fight linkspam constantly with algorithms and by taking manual action”.

Google noted that if any link has been problematic, the new Google Disavow tool will help resolve the issue by first selecting your site.
