Facebook Partners with Nokia To Launch Asha 205 In Nigeria

In line with its goal of being the best device manufacturer, Nokia has launched its Asha 205 series in Nigeria with an integration of Facebook button to connect the most popular social media site in the world. The device was designed for people who want to connect easily to their Facebook Page at one click.

The Mobile Growth Manager, Africa for Facebook, Nicola D’Elia said that people around the world use Facebook Mobile to connect and share photos, videos, with friends, while adding that Facebook is focused on delivering the best experience to people around the world. 

D’Elia noted partnership with Nokia perfectly complements its strategy of giving users around the world a rich Facebook experience for keeping in touch with friends.

Head of Mobile Phones, Nokia India Middle East & Africa, Calin Turcanu, said that young consumers use Facebook for socializing, keeping in touch with both new and old friends while on-the-go.

Turcanu pointed out that people who use Nokia Asha devices are hyper-social while iterating on the partnership with Facebook on the introduction of the button.

With the integration of the Facebook button on the new Nokia Asha 205 users can now see which of their friends are online to start chatting with them right away, start messages and group chats and reach more of the people they know, wherever they are, no matter what device they are using, sharing photos and status updates with their friends, so they can stay close to the people around them with the touch of a button.
